I am a freelance science writer, specialising in space and astronomy.
While I can cover all areas, ranging from stellar evolution to black holes, I have developed a particular pocket of expertise in space exploration and spaceflight programmes, for example, NASA’s Artemis mission to the Moon.
My ethos is that astronomy should be made simple, for everyone.
This often means I use a story-telling narrative to make complex or complicated science & tech accessible to people, be it the casual reading public or an astronomy enthuasiast.
I firmly believe in encouraging people to think and will often look at what the consequence or impact is. At other times, all that is needed is a good story!
My background spans almost 10 years in editorial and digital product. Currently, I work in London for a media company as a product owner for a publisher’s digital content.
I am also the Space Exploration section editor of a fantastic members’ magazine Popular Astronomy, produced by the Society for Popular Astronomy, and a Fellow of the Royal Astronomical Society. I have also written for the Sky At Night.
